FEEDING GUIDELINES

The feeding chart below is a rough guideline for an active adult cat. Every animal will metabolize food at a different rate. Activity level and age are just a few factors that affect nutrient requirements for your cat.

*The amount of nuggets that will fill an 8oz measuring cup will vary for each scoop. The recommended cups are rounded to the nearest standard measuring cup markings.

We ship frozen orders out Mon-Thurs in order of shipping radius. Our shipping facility is in Tulsa, OK. Orders that have a 4 day transit time ship out first on Mondays, followed by orders that have a transit time of 3 days on Tuesday/Wednesday, and orders with a transit of 1 to 2 days are shipped on Wednesday/Thursday. Orders are delivered between Thursday-Saturday.

FAQs

There are 40 patties weighing 8 oz each in a 20-pound bulk box.

Bags of nuggets are packaged by weight and not by number of cups, so cups of nuggets may vary slightly per bag. You get approximately:

  • 16-18 cups from our 20 oz freeze-dried bags
  • 20 cups from our frozen 5 lb bags of nuggets
  • 5-8 cups from our Quest cat food

If your pet has never eaten a raw diet, you will to transition them gradually to the new food by  mixing their current diet with the new food. Check out our transitioning guide with tips and tricks on transitioning to raw.

Frozen raw should remain cold until ready to thaw and serve. Food safe temps are 40 degrees or colder.

Freeze-dried raw should be stored in a cool, dark area like a pantry or cupboard.

Blessing in disguise

We came from Cape Town, South Africa where our Maine Coons were used to a specific brand and type of raw food. They've been eating raw since they were able to eat and Quest has satisfied their hunger in ways that freeze-dried simply did not. The Variety Pack allowed us to find out which tastes they liked. Even though they had a chicken and duck mix diet in Cape Town, to my surprise and stress, they REFUSED the chicken, but luckily they love the pork, beef, and whitefish! Now we know and we will buy the larger bags of those flavors. Thank you for offering this shipping service! We were moving our lives from across the bottom of the earth and didn't want to task my ageing parents with running out to Grand Rapids to the local shop to obtain these (which, the shop didn't have these small amounts so that would be been a shame for the chicken which the cats did not like.) Anyway, thanks.

Cat is doing so much better!

We had our cat on wet food and decided to try raw food. We were surprised to find that this was actually cheaper than the wet food we were using! Her fur has become significantly softer, her acne has gone away, and she is all around doing so much better! She gets picky about a flavor sometimes, but we leave it out she just comes back to it in about 30 min and eats it.

Variety Bundle

We've only tried the raw food out three times and I couldn't get Spencer kitty (he'll be 17 in mid-May) to stop gobbling the fish raw food for 20 mins.. I didn't see the other 7 kitties eating it yet. Many of ours are addicted to Farmina dry food from Italy

Hi there! We are so glad to hear Spencer took to our food! Cats can be picky eaters, here are a few tips for your other cats: Try putting 1-2 thawed nuggets on each side of your cat’s meal (don’t mix) or in a separate dish next to their food. If, after a few days, your cats still haven’t tried it, start playing with what we call the 4 T’s: Time, Temperature, Texture, and Taste. Put the nuggets down at the normal mealtime and then wait 20 minutes before putting their normal food down or offer the nuggets between meals. Some cats aren’t crazy about cold food so you can leave the nuggets on the counter for a bit to warm up before feeding or add some hot water. Try mashing up the nuggets with a fork or add water to thin it and change up the texture. It may take some time so don't give up and please contact our team if you'd like more information!
