    FEEDING GUIDELINES

Measure the amount of freeze-dried food for your dog or cat by using a measuring cup. Scoop one cup of nuggets for every 10 pounds. Use the chart below as a guide.

ADDING WATER IS REQUIRED. Add water, pet-safe broth, goat milk, etc. on top of the food. Measure 3/4 cup of liquid for every 1 cup of food. Let the liquid absorb into the food - this usually takes around 10 minutes.

    Takes a while to Hydrate

Hi Crystil! To speed up rehydration, you can crumble the freeze-dried nuggets into smaller pieces, rehydrate ahead of time in the fridge, or use warm water.

My dogs have been eating this brand for 2 years now and I’m sticking with it. They get really excited when it’s time to eat and these nuggets are never left uneaten.. it’s always the 1st item to disappear from their bowls!! They love every bite.

Thank you for sharing your experience! It's always great to see dogs enjoying their food, especially when its nutritious! Have a great day!

    Best food for my Frenchie

I started feeding this to my puppy after trying several other brands. Everything upset her stomach and gave her diarrhea except Steve's. She's been on it over a year and all her previous issues stopped. It's pricey but it's much cheaper to feed her good food and keep her away from the vet. She'll be on Steve's for life!

Hi there! Thank you for sharing your experience with our raw food. We're thrilled to hear that it has been a great fit for your Frenchie and has helped with her previous stomach issues. Thank you for choosing Steve's and we hope your pup continues to thrive on our food for life!

    Beef nuggets

The beef nuggets take longer to hydrate than the.turkey nuggets. My puppy has been finicky eating the turkey so I switched to the beef and shes sometimes finicky with that as well.

Hi! Thanks for leaving a review! Our proteins have some texture variations due to the natural differences in meats. Beef is usually the firmest and takes the longest to rehydrate. Crumbling it while rehydrating speeds up the process! Please reach out to our customer service if you need any help!
