Meet Madi: Customer Support Specialist

My name is Madi! I’m an animal lover, food fanatic, avid reader, and Disney fan. I have a bachelor’s degree in Zoology and spend all of my time with my dogs. I live in MN, where I hate the winter, but love the summer and fall.
How long have you been with Steve's Real Food?
Almost 3 years already!
What do you love about your job?
I love helping people (especially new raw feeders), and I love that a significant portion of this job is continuing to learn!
What pets do you have?
I have an 8-year-old pittie-mix named Kenai (named after the movie Brother Bear), and a rotating door of foster dogs. Our current foster is a 2-year-old terrier mix named Snoop Dog (we call him Snoopy).
What do you love about Steve's?
I love working for a company that truly cares about our animals, the planet, and people. Seeing the passion everyone here has is really inspiring.

Meet Shelley: Customer Support Specialist

Hi my name is Shelley! Born and raised in the Midwest, some of my earliest memories revolve around animals and nature. I began my early career as a zookeeper, but soon found my niche in the pet industry after my first dog came into my life with a multitude of health issues. Raising him naturally changed his life and mine for the better! Since then, I have worked in retail stores for over a decade, helping pet parents navigate the natural pet food space. I am proud to call Steve's Real Food home for hopefully the next decade or more!
How long have you been with Steve's Real Food?
I have been with Steve's Real Food since March 2025.
What do you love about your job?
I love hearing from our customers directly about the backgrounds of all their pets before they discovered raw diets, and their success stories since making the switch! Working from home and spending more time with my own pets is also the best perk a job can have!
What pets do you have?
I have a Cardigan Welsh Corgi named Ollie, and a Siamese cat named Rudy. I also have a multi-species freshwater fish tank.
What do you love about Steve's?
I love working for a company that is committed to environmental stewardship and sustainable agriculture practices. I also love working for a company whose ethics and integrity in selling healthy and safe food are the priority above all else.
What’s one thing customers say that always makes you smile?
I love it when customers tell me I've helped them feel more knowledgeable and confident! I also always appreciate photos of the fur babies sent my way!

Meet Brad: Public Outreach Specialist

I'm Brad, I live in Michigan and love to garden and spend time with my family and pets. I've been in the pet industry for 13 years.
How long have you been with Steve's Real Food?
Four years.
What do you love about your job?
That I get to make a difference in the lives of dogs and cats. As a previous retailer for nearly a decade, I've seen the changes real food makes in hundreds of pets, and I'm dedicated to reaching as many bowls as possible!
What pets do you have?
Two dogs (Fudge and Buttons), six chickens, a jumping spider, and three kids.
What do you love about Steve's?
The difference it makes for the pets that eat it. Working in store for nearly ten years, I've seen countless dogs and cats dealing with one issue or another. Whether it's itchiness, digestive issues, or something else, switching them to a diet of only fresh, real foods always made a positive difference. Even people with perfectly healthy pets would come back to tell me how much their dog loved the food, how happy they seemed, or that they acted younger.
I love that Steve's only uses real food, is so dedicated to high standards, and works so hard to make a difference in other ways, like our sustainability mission. To me, this isn't only the best food for pets; behind the food is a group of amazing people working to make sure the impact of every decision is a positive one.
